The UBC Division of Infectious Diseases leads innovative research spanning microbial pathogenesis, host immunity, epidemiology, and global health to address the world’s most urgent infectious disease challenges. It works closely with partners such as the Immunity and Infection Research Centre to investigate a wide range of pathogens and to develop new diagnostics, treatments, and vaccine strategies. Through globally recognized programs, including HIV/AIDS research and international initiatives in regions such as Vietnam and Ecuador, the Division translates scientific discovery into real‑world impact for patients and communities.
