Dr. Melanie Murray is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, and the Associate Director of the UBC MD/PhD Program. She completed her MD and PhD at the University of Manitoba, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency and Infectious Disease Fellowship at UBC.

Dr. Murray is a co-PI of the British Columbia CARMA-CHIWOS Collaboration (BCC3) Cohort study (www.hivhearme.ca). This cohort takes a holistic, society to cell, and community centered approach to the study of healthy aging among women living with and without HIV in British Columbia. In addition, Dr. Murray is a BC Co-Lead of the CIHR Pan-Canadian Network for HIV and STBBI Clinical Trials Research (CTN+), and it is through this role that she works to increase investigator and community capacity for sexually transmitted and blood borne infection research in BC and the Yukon.
